Umbilical tissue
injections
Think of it as an alternative to PRP that doesn't use your blood. Instead of a blood draw, we use a donated, screened umbilical tissue product from Vitti Labs. It's used the same way as PRP and can be added to treatments like the P-Shot or O-Shot.

Injected by Dr. Kat.
Every injectable at Renewal is done by Dr. Kat Lofley, a doctor of nursing practice. She studies how your face moves before she treats it, so results look like a rested version of you, never frozen.

Where it's used
Umbilical tissue is placed the same way we place PRP, either on its own or added to another treatment. These are the areas patients ask about most. Tap one to learn more.
Some patients choose to add umbilical tissue to their P-Shot alongside their own PRP. Dr. Kat will talk through whether it makes sense for you.
It can also be added to the O-Shot in the same visit. We'll go over what to expect and what the research does and doesn't show.
Placed in the skin or paired with microneedling, much like PRP. Results vary and build gradually.
Injected into the scalp in areas of early thinning, the same way PRP is. Results vary from person to person.
Not sure if it’s right for you? That’s exactly what the consult is for.
Why patients ask about it
Because it's a donated product, we don't need to draw and process your blood, which some patients prefer.
It's most often added to a treatment you're already getting, like the P-Shot, O-Shot, or PRP.
The tissue comes from donated umbilical cords collected after healthy, full-term births, and is screened by the lab before it reaches us.
This is a newer option and the research is still early. Dr. Kat will tell you plainly what it may and may not do.
What to expect, visit by visit.
Tap through the timeline. Like PRP, any change is gradual.
We go over your goals, your health history and whether umbilical tissue is a good fit, or whether PRP alone makes more sense.

Before & after care
A few simple steps help you get the best possible result.
Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your visit to make the blood draw easier.
Have a normal meal beforehand so you feel comfortable during the blood draw.
If it’s safe for you, avoid ibuprofen, aspirin, and similar medications for a few days before, since they can affect platelets. Check with your doctor.
Skipping alcohol for a day or two before can help minimize bruising.
General guidance only. We'll give you personal instructions at your visit.
